SARS TAXES

We assist in calculating the SARS taxes payable based on the information and figures supplied to us by you, within your online application form.

You don’t have to worry about the accuracy of the taxes on your payslip as we do take care of that.

You may read on about the SARS common tax types below.

PAY AS YOU EARN (PAYE)

Which stands for “Pay As You Earn” is a compulsory form of tax that we have to calculate & reflect on your payslip.

It is based on the total taxable income as reflected on your payslip.

It is compulsory for us to calculate & disclose this tax type, in order for your payslip to be considered legitimate.

It is up to you, to take our calculations into consideration, when filing your tax returns at the end of the tax year.

Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF)

UIF is another SARS deduction which has to be reflected on your payslip for legitimacy and compliance.

It is based on a 1% contribution by employee & employer bringing the total liability, to an overall 2%.

If you become unemployed after contributing to the UIF, or your company does not pay for maternity leave, you will have the right to claim from the UIF.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT LEVY (SDL)

Employers must pay an equivalent of 1% to the South African Revenue Services.

SDL however cannot be deducted from employees and as such, it is not reflected on an employee’s payslip.
